ACS has invested to create a sophisticated integrated network of the highest quality wireless and data wireline capabilities in the state and connect them to the world. With this network, we have also invested in the best network operations and control functionality. ACS ise the first Alaska carrier with mirrored network control centers in Anchorage and the continental United States.

To improve overall network survivability and increase network management capabilities in 2009, ACS implemented a second Network Operations and Control Center (NOCC) complementing ACS' existing NOCC in Anchorage. In this model for network management, ACS joined carriers from the US, Mexico, Great Britain, and India.
All clients in the second NOCC are provided unique service teams but leverage the latest monitoring technology. The two ACS locations mirror each other's operations and coordinate actions as though they were in the same building.
With two centers working together, ACS has the best available systems to continually manage our sophisticated network on a 24x7x365 basis.

The dual NOCCs combine to form the Integrated Network Management Center (I-NMC) and provide non-stop performance and capacity monitoring to assure ACS' ability to detect and resolve real and potential network faults. In addition, dual NOCCs make it easier for ACS to implement network upgrades and reconfigurations without impacting customers.
The NOCC in the Lower 48 connects to the ACS network via diversely routed, high-speed data lines reaching Alaska through ACS' submarine cables, AKORN and Northstar. Detailed information for ACS' network configuration is fully archived in both locations allowing for rapid restoral of services in case of emergency.

Only as an ACS customer, will you benefit from the I-NMC's improved managed services. Through the I-NMC, you will have near real time visibility of your network capacity, utilization and availability through a series of reports accessible by a unique, private web portal. You will also be able to get near real time insight on trouble tickets, alarms and SLA performance.
A variety of reports will be available to you and will allow you to oversee the health of your network circuits, check on the restoration of trouble tickets, see how you are using your bandwidth and determine if you need more or less. If needed, ACS can make these bandwidth adjustments within hours, not days.
The ACS I-NMC, will monitor and manage your network from end-to-end and give you the ability to "look over our shoulders" and see for yourself. Customers with their own NOCC can even connect into the I-NMC and join the integrated team.

The second NOCC and the creation of the I-NMC is just another step at ACS to provide superior service to Enterprise customers not available from any other Alaska carrier. ACS' network in Alaska extends from Barrow to Ketchikan. It connects Alaska to the rest of the world with dual cables landing in Oregon and fibers connecting to the major global network nodes in Seattle and Portland. ACS has Alaska's best wireless network, best data network and Alaska's only out-of-state, remote data hosting and now, dual NOCCs.
